Memphis parents and community members: Join us for a conversation about our youngest learners. Chalkbeat journalists will give an overview of the state of early education in Shelby County, and we’ll listen to you. We’re especially excited to talk about early literacy, quality pre-K, and new district or state policies that could impact the early grades. Come ready to talk about what you want for Memphis’ early learners, as well as your big education questions! We will do our best to answer them.
This is a free event, and dinner and childcare will be provided. The event will start at 6 p.m. Aug. 22 and will be held in Room C of the Benjamin Hooks Library, 3030 Poplar Avenue. Space is limited, so please RSVP.
Special thanks to our partners: Memphis Public Libraries, Seeding Success, Stand for Children, and Porter-Leath’s Books from Birth and Teacher Excellence Program.
